On Thursday, 13th June, over 200 guests celebrated 25 years of Lawrence Nurses at Great Tew Park with kind permission of Nicholas and Saskia Johnston.
We had hoped to be able to take full advantage of the magnificent views of the park and hold our evening reception outside the marquee but that was not to be. However, the rain didn’t dampen our spirits and instead we enjoyed a reception inside the tent with champagne sponsored by Tattinger before enjoying a delicious meal, catered by Napier Catering.
Richard Greaves, the Chair of Lawrence Nurses, thanked guests, nurses, staff and trustees past and present for their service over the last 25 years before introducing Christian Lawrence and Anna Jo Mathers, the children of Dr Martin Lawrence, and Danny Phillips, the son of Jane Phillips MBE. Christian, Anna Jo and Danny spoke movingly about their parents’ legacy and their hopes for the next 25 years of Lawrence Nurses.
After a silent and live auction, guests were treated to music from live band, Under The Covers.
We would like to thank Nicholas and Saskia Johnston for allowing us to hold our celebratory party at Great Tew Park, our sponsors including Robert Johnston, Wise Funds, Christian Lawrence and Lycetts, our Patrons and everyone who donated a silent or live auction prize. The fundraising evening was a huge success raising over £50,000 net profit for Lawrence Nurses.
