Lawrence Nurses is overseen and managed by a Board of Directors who are unpaid and act in a voluntary capacity. Each member has skills and an interest in a specific area of the Charity’s work. The Board is responsible for ensuring the Lawrence Home Nursing Team has the money it needs, spends its money sensibly, follows the law including preparing reports and accounts to send to the Charity Commission and abides by its constitution.

Emma is a GP currently working in Bicester. She trained in Chipping Norton where she was introduced to LHNT. She is passionate about improving end-of-life care and as a trustee aims to support the LHNT in providing high-level care whenever it is needed.

Robert has experienced at first hand the extraordinary care that LHNT provides. LHNT was recommended to Robert and his wife, Pooch, when they learnt that Pooch’s cancer was terminal. They realised they had to have help in order to fulfil Pooch’s wish to die at home.

Anna Jo Mathers has been a director of the charity since its foundation in 1999; she is very proud to be associated with the LHNT which was founded in memory of her father Dr. Martin Lawrence. She is Assistant Head (Learning and Teaching) at Sibford School.

Alan is a qualified Management and Treasury Accountant and has worked in business operations and transformation for nearly 30 years including almost 20 years at Accenture where he was a Partner/Managing Director and then working for Private Equity owned companies. He is currently an Operating Partner for a UK-based renewables energy company.
JENNY NOLAN MBE

Jenny retired from her role as Registered Nurse Manager for LHNT in October 2022 she is honoured to return as a Director. Jenny started her Nursing career at Chipping Norton War Memorial Hospital in 1980 and worked within the local Community health care system until her retirement. She was recognised with an MBE in the new years honours 2022 for services to End of Life care. Following her award she recognised the multitude of people who have played a part in the Lawrence Home Nursing Team to date. Commenting that it is only due to the supportive nature of the community and the hard work of many many (too many to name) dedicated people that Lawrence Home Nursing Team has become what it is and made the award possible.

John has held senior management positions with multi-national companies in the UK, Europe and East and South Africa. and for 25 years he ran his own management consultancy before retiring.

Richard qualified as a solicitor before becoming a businessman, running Cleenol Group Ltd in Banbury. He was a long-serving Trustee and then Chair of Katharine House Hospice and now chairs Chipping Norton Theatre, as well as being a school governor.
